Clark House at Fox Village

Clark House at Fox Hill Village (Clark House) is a skilled nursing facility serving patients who require skilled nursing services, short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. It is conveniently located at the junction of I-95 (route 128) and route 109 in Westwood, Massachusetts, adjacent to the independent living community Fox Hill Village. Clark House serves residents of Fox Hill Village and surrounding communities, as well as residents of the greater metropolitan Boston area.

Clark House has a collaborative and supportive team approach that focuses on restoring each patient’s highest level of functioning, independence and quality of life. Clark House offers:

History of Clark House at Fox Hill Village

1990 – Clark House at Fox Hill Village, a 70-bed skilled nursing facility, is added to the Fox Hill Village independent living project developed by Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and managed by Hillhaven, Inc. The skilled nursing facility is dedicated to the memory of Eleanor Clark, Director of the Department of Social Services at MGH from 1964 to 1984. Clark House sets the standard for luxury nursing care in greater Boston.

1992 – Clark House at Fox Hill Village starts sub-acute program for short stay patients rehabilitating from acute hospital care.

2003 - Clark House earns Step 1 quality award from American Health Care Association.

2005 - Clark House earns Step 2 Quality award from American Health Care Association.

Today – Clark House is managed by Kindred Healthcare, Inc. in partnership with the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. It offers the strength of a national provider of post-acute services with the premiere resources of the Partners HealthCare System.

Leadership and Expertise

Alan I. Glaser, MD – Medical Director
Dr. Alan Glaser is the Medical Director of Wellesley Primary Care Medicine, P.C., where he has privileges at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, also serving as Secretary of the Medical Staff. Additionally, he has privileges at several other healthcare institutions including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Metrowest Medical Center. Dr. Glaser is a member of several professional societies and author of several research articles. He received his B.A. from Brandeis University and M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine where he was commencement speaker. He is Board Certified in internal medicine.

Brian T. Hurley, NHA, MBA – Executive Director
Mr. Hurley has more than 25 years healthcare management experience specializing in the post acute market. He has worked for nonprofits, partnerships and for profit corporations. Mr. Hurley has managed individual facilities as well as provider networks in 12 states in the eastern US. He received his B.A. degree from Colby College and M.B.A. from Boston University Graduate School of Management.

Debra A. Smith, R.N.– Director of Nursing Services
Ms. Smith has experience working as acute hospital medical surgical nurse, rehabilitation hospital nurse, hospice case manager, assisted living resident care director and skilled nursing facility Director of Nursing Services. She earned her B.S.N. degree from Fitchburg State College.

Cheryl Fay, OTR/L- Program Director
Ms. Fay has directed the rehabilitation programs for more than 20 years. She previously served as staff therapist at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and staff therapist at New England Rehabilitation Hospital. She received her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University.
